How to find a person's work email addressChoosing between Lusha and UpLead, or moving from one to the other? Tell us your setup. We will show you how we would run it, and what we would check first.
For these two, at list prices on 25 Oct 2026: Lusha is free for 40 credits a month, then from US$49.90 a month billed monthly or US$37.45 a month billed yearly, with 1 credit per email and 5 per phone. UpLead starts at US$99 a month billed monthly or US$74 a month billed annually, with 1 credit per contact covering email and mobile direct dial. Per credit that is roughly US$0.09 to US$0.12 on Lusha and US$0.37 to US$0.58 on UpLead.
It depends on what you reveal. For an email only, Lusha is cheaper: 1 credit at about US$0.09 to US$0.12. For email plus a phone number, Lusha charges 1 + 5 credits, about US$0.52 to US$0.75, while UpLead charges 1 credit, about US$0.37 to US$0.58, for email and mobile direct dial together. These figures are list prices divided by plan credits.
Lusha: yes. The Free plan includes an API key, and a Free account on 25 Oct 2026 was limited to 100 calls a day and 40 a minute. UpLead: its pricing page lists full API access only on the annual Professional plan. Its docs link a request form for a free API key, and its 7-day trial asked for card details before starting.
Lusha's Billing FAQ says a request that returns no match is not charged, though one docs intro page says a minimum of 1 credit per request; check billing.creditsCharged on each response. UpLead charges 1 credit per record returned, never twice for the same record, and skips contacts whose email is Invalid or Unknown. Catch-all (Accept All) emails still cost a credit.
Lusha does: https://mcp.lusha.com, with 50 tools for enrichment, prospecting, signals, lookalikes, tables and CRM export. Claude, ChatGPT and Codex connect by OAuth; other clients pass an x-api-key header. UpLead's docs and product pages do not mention an MCP server, so agents would call its REST API directly.
Between these two it depends on the job. Lusha suits teams that start free, mostly need emails, or want signals, webhooks and an MCP server for agents. UpLead suits small teams that want email and mobile direct dial in one credit, with emails verified at request time and bad ones not charged.
