AI search optimization for B2B: SEO, AEO and GEO in one program
SEO, AEO and GEO together make your site easy to find, read and cite, for Google and for AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Gemini. We audit and fix your technical SEO, shape pages around the questions buyers really ask, open the site to AI agents and measure where your brand shows up in AI answers.
The AI search program
- Measure: Buyer questions in ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews
- Audit: Crawl, schema, speed and links
- Fix: Errors fixed, then checked live
- Open up: Bing, AI crawlers and llms.txt
- Re-measure: Same questions, dated snapshots
SEO vs AEO vs GEO: one job, three places to be found
There is no separate trick for AI Overviews: the SEO basics still apply to them. What is genuinely new sits outside Google: Bing indexing, AI crawler access and tracking who gets cited.
| Discipline | What it aims for | Where the answer shows | What we work on | How we measure it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SEO Search engine optimization | Rank in Google and Bing results | The list of search results | Crawling, indexing, speed, schema and internal links | Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools data |
| AEO Answer engine optimization | Be the direct answer to a question | Google AI Overviews and People Also Ask | Pages that answer real questions in their first lines | Whether the AI Overview for each question cites you |
| GEO Generative engine optimization | Be named and cited in AI-written answers | ChatGPT, Gemini and other assistants | Bing indexing, AI crawler access, llms.txt and third-party mentions | Buyer questions asked in each assistant, citations traced to the source page |
For B2B teams whose buyers search in AI assistants
Your buyers now ask Google and AI assistants the same questions. This is for teams that want to show up in both, with a method they can check.
Buyers ask AI assistants for a shortlist
They ask ChatGPT or Gemini who to talk to before they visit any site, and you do not know whether you are in the answer.
Your site exists, but search does not find it
Pages are not indexed, titles repeat, or old URLs and links broke after a redesign or a domain change.
You want a method, not AEO and GEO hacks
You want to know what really changes for AI search and what is simply good SEO under a new name.
What we audit, measure and fix
Six parts of one program.
AI visibility audit
We ask your buyers' real questions in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, record who is named and trace every citation to the page it came from.
Technical and schema audit
A crawl of every URL in your sitemap for duplicates, orphan pages, titles, canonicals and speed, plus structured data checked against Google rules.
Indexing in Google and Bing
Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools set up, sitemaps submitted, key URLs inspected and indexing requested where pages are missing.
AI agent readiness
llms.txt, a Markdown copy of each page, a robots file that names the AI crawlers, and a read-only MCP server if you want one. These are for AI agents, not a Google ranking lever.
Question research and answer-ready pages
Questions pulled from real Google results, volumes checked against search data, and page plans with one keyword per URL and the answer first.
Authority without paid links
A backlink audit that separates real links from spam, then a list of relevant sites worth earning a mention from. We do not buy links.
How an engagement runs
We measure before we change anything and re-measure with the same questions after. The work is led by Aaryan Sharma, our Growth Manager for SEO, AEO & GEO.
Measure
We run your buyer questions in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews to get a dated starting point.
Audit, fix and verify
We crawl the site, fix technical and schema errors, and check every fix on the live page.
Index and open to agents
We get the site indexed in Google and Bing and add the files AI agents read.
Research, build, re-measure
We plan pages from real questions, then re-run the same questions and compare.
Client work: Appagentix
Appagentix: SEO from zero
The SEO work we run for Appagentix, a custom software and AI development company:
- A 288-keyword universe, each keyword placed in a service bucket.
- A site blueprint built from 7,513 classified URLs, with the H1 and meta description of every core page and a phased build plan.
- Page templates set from a section-by-section study of 2,661 competitor URLs.
- A test of whether a keyword in the company name helps a site rank, using live link and traffic data from competing firms. It did not: links and the number of ranking pages tracked with traffic.
- Every SEO question that shapes the build answered from Google's Search documentation, with each quote checked against the source.
The tools behind the method
Every number on this page came from one of these.
- DataForSEO: Live Google results, AI Overviews, and ChatGPT and Gemini answers
- Ahrefs: Backlinks, referring domains and keyword data
- Google Search Console: Indexing, sitemaps and rich result tests
- Bing Webmaster Tools: Bing indexing and URL submission
- Lighthouse: Speed and Core Web Vitals, before and after
- Claude: Sorting thousands of researched questions by fit
What teams ask about AI search optimization
These are questions people ask Google and AI assistants about this work. Anything else, ask us on a call.
What is the difference between answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization?
Answer engine optimization (AEO) works to make your page the direct answer to a question, for example in Google's AI Overviews. Generative engine optimization (GEO) works to get your brand named and cited in answers that AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Gemini write. Both depend on ordinary SEO, because a page that is not crawled and indexed cannot be quoted. We run all three as one program.
Is SEO dead now with AI?
No. On the 309 go-to-market searches we pulled from Google in October 2026, 303 showed an AI Overview and none showed a classic featured snippet, so the results page has changed shape. But there are no extra requirements to appear in AI Overviews beyond sound SEO. The pages AI answers draw on still have to be crawlable, indexed and clear.
Can ChatGPT do SEO?
It helps, and we use AI in the work, for example to sort thousands of researched questions by fit. What it works from still has to be real data: crawls, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and live search results.
How do you measure AI visibility?
We ask a fixed set of buyer questions in ChatGPT and Gemini, pull the Google results page with its AI Overview for each one, record which brands are named and trace every citation back to its source page. Each run is a dated snapshot, and we compare runs that use the same questions.
What do you do differently for GEO that isn't already part of good SEO?
Three things sit outside classic Google SEO: getting indexed in Bing as well as Google, letting AI crawlers in and giving them llms.txt and a Markdown copy of each page, and tracking which pages AI assistants actually cite. Google Search ignores llms.txt, so we treat it as access for other AI agents, never as a Google ranking lever.
How do you earn relevant third-party mentions without spam or undisclosed paid placements?
We start with an audit of the links you already have and separate real links from spam. Then we build a list of relevant sites worth approaching. We do not buy followed links, because paying for one breaks Google's link spam policy.
What would you prioritize in our first 90 days, and why?
We do not promise results by a date, but the order is fixed: measure where you show up today, audit the site, fix and verify the errors, get indexed in Google and Bing, open the site to AI agents, then plan pages from real questions and re-measure. Measuring first gives every later change a dated starting point to compare against.
Should I hire an SEO company, or can I do SEO by myself?
You can do much of it yourself, because the data is cheap: our question research, 2,012 real questions from 309 Google results pages, cost $1.22 in data fees. What takes the time is the method: knowing what to check, fixing it without breaking anything else, and proving the fix worked. Bring in help when you want that done for you.
