Neither of these has a free plan. Smartlead gives a 14-day trial with no card; in the app on 25 Oct 2026 it allowed 2,500 sends and 1,250 contacts a month, and paid plans start at US$39 a month. EmailBison has no self-serve trial: you book a demo, and its one plan is US$599 a month.
Should you pay for a warmup tool?
Both include warmup in the plan. EmailBison's plan includes warm-up and bounce protection on an isolated network with dedicated IPs. Smartlead includes a warmup pool on every plan, rising from Foundation on Base to Growth on Pro and Premium on Smart and Prime.
How many emails can be sent per day?
Both cap the month, and you set the daily pace per sender. EmailBison's plan covers 500,000 emails a month, and daily limits per sender can be updated in bulk by API. Smartlead allows 6,000 to 500,000 sends a month by plan; a campaign's schedule window and gap set the pace, and the default gave 27 sends a day per sender account in the app on 25 Oct 2026.
Does EmailBison have an API?
Yes, on its only plan. Each customer has a private instance, so the API base URL is the domain you log in on, and requests use a Bearer token from Settings > Developer API. The working OpenAPI spec is at <your instance>/api/reference.openapi. Rate limits apply per key, but no figures are published.
Which one gives dedicated IPs?
EmailBison includes an isolated network with dedicated IPs in its US$599 plan. Smartlead sells dedicated IPs as SmartServers at US$39 a server a month from Pro, and Prime includes 3.
Can an AI agent run campaigns in EmailBison or Smartlead?
Smartlead has an official MCP server at mcp.smartlead.ai that takes your API key; a trial key listed 168 tools on 25 Oct 2026. EmailBison's MCP server only searches its public docs, so an agent works with campaigns through the REST API with a Bearer token.
