5 requests per second; going over temporarily blocks further requests.

Some database-heavy endpoints use internal request weighting and count more. No rate-limit headers documented.

How to get an API key

PlusVibe uses API key. The steps below follow PlusVibe's own docs.

  1. Create a PlusVibe account. API access starts on the Business plan.
  2. Settings > API Access (app.plusvibe.ai/v2/settings/api-access), Business plan only. One key per PlusVibe account, with access to all its workspaces.
  3. Send it with every request: header x-api-key; workspace_id parameter on every endpoint. MCP: key in the URL query (?api_key=).
  4. Make a first call: Activate campaign. Keep the key in an environment variable, never in the command.
    curl -X POST "https://api.plusvibe.ai/api/v1/campaign/launch" \
      -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
      -d '{}'

Strengths and limits

Where it fits

  • Senders who want warmup, rotation and enrichment credits in one flat plan by email volume
  • Agencies wanting isolated sending servers, dedicated IPs and white-label client workspaces on Agency
  • Programmatic control of campaigns, leads, mailboxes, warmup, Unibox and placement tests: 122 documented endpoints

Where it falls short

  • API or MCP use on the Personal plan: both start on Business
  • Buyers who need a named security certification: none is stated

Worth knowing

  • API, webhooks and MCP are not on Personal; the API key page needs Business.
  • Every API call needs workspace_id even though one key covers all workspaces (same source).
  • Rate limit is 5 requests a second, with heavier endpoints weighted (same source).
  • The MCP URL carries the API key as a query parameter, so treat the URL itself as a secret.
  • Free-trial enrichment credits are shown as 100 on one card and in the compare table, 300 on another card on the same page.
1 moreShow fewer
  • Inbox emails are kept 9 months and 'Other replies' 7 days, then deleted.

Before you build

Four things to settle first, each read off PlusVibe's own pages.

  • Confirm the API is on your planAPI access starts on the Business plan. Free tier: 14-day free trial: 1,000 emails, 3 inboxes warmed, connect up to 3 email accounts, 100 enrichment credits (the outreach trial card.
  • Keep the key out of your codeAPI key. It is sent as: header x-api-key; workspace_id parameter on every endpoint. MCP: key in the URL query (?api_key=).
  • Design around the rate limit5 requests per second; going over temporarily blocks further requests.
  • Know the catch before you scaleAPI, webhooks and MCP are not on Personal; the API key page needs Business.
