SDKs retry 429 and 5xx (default 3 retries) but never retry read timeouts, because records may already be counted. ## How to get an API key BlitzAPI uses API key. The steps below follow BlitzAPI's own docs. 1. Create a BlitzAPI account. API access starts on the Start plan. 2. BlitzAPI dashboard at app.blitz-api.ai. The MCP server can sign in with OAuth instead, or take the same x-api-key header. 3. Send it with every request: header: x-api-key: . 4. Its documented rate limit is a burst ceiling: throttling comes back as an empty result list with no error code, so long sweeps need to run well below it, with retries.
