Table of content

Most ABM programmes fail on the account list, not the ads: the wrong companies get uploaded, competitors and vendors stay in, and nobody can say which accounts actually moved. So the agency to hire is the one that shows you how it picks and qualifies accounts, runs LinkedIn, email and outreach on that one list, and reports by account. We compared 15 ABM agencies on what they publish about exactly that. For pre-seed to Series B B2B tech without an ABM platform, our pick is **OneGTMLab** (9.7 out of 10). TripleDart and RevvGrowth suit SaaS teams with larger deals and want a published retainer; Inverta and Huble suit teams already running Demandbase, 6sense or HubSpot; Gravity Global and Twogether suit enterprise brands that need creative at scale.

## Key takeaways

- ABM lives or dies on the account list. Ask any agency where its list comes from and how each company is checked before upload; an industry filter is not a check.
- Platform or no platform is the first fork. Some agencies here run Demandbase or 6sense for you; others run ABM on LinkedIn Campaign Manager plus a data layer, which suits teams not ready for a platform contract.
- Ask for results by account: accounts reached, accounts engaging, meetings and pipeline from target accounts. Of the 15 agencies here, 14 publish a named client with a number; five publish a price figure.
- Exclusions matter as much as inclusions. Competitors, customers, open deals and vendors belong in a separate uploaded list.
- Published retainers that include ABM start at $5,000 a month and £5,000 a month, before media spend and tools.

## What is an ABM agency?

An [account-based marketing](/glossary/account-based-marketing) agency picks the companies you should win, then markets to the people inside those companies, instead of advertising to an industry and hoping the right companies reply. The work has four parts: building and qualifying the target account list, running campaigns to those accounts (LinkedIn ads, email, programmatic, direct mail, events), coordinating sales follow-up with the accounts that engage, and measuring results by account rather than by click.

Two things are often sold under the same name. An **ABM platform** (![6sense logo](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/logos/6sense.png)6sense, ![Demandbase logo](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/logos/demandbase.png)Demandbase, ![RollWorks logo](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/logos/rollworks.png)RollWorks) is software that scores accounts and serves ads, and it still needs someone to run it. An **ABM agency** runs the programme, with or without a platform. Several agencies on this list are partners of one platform and will steer you to it; others, including OneGTMLab, run ABM on LinkedIn Campaign Manager plus a data layer, which suits companies that cannot justify a platform contract yet.

## Agency, platform or in-house: who should run your ABM?

An ABM platform gives you account scoring and ad serving, and most agencies on this list will run one for you. An in-house team gives you control and context, at the cost of headcount and the time it takes to learn Campaign Manager's rules. An agency gives you the method and the hands. For companies before Series B, the usual trap is buying the platform before the list is good; a qualified list on LinkedIn Campaign Manager is a better first spend than an unqualified list on a platform. Our wider comparison of agencies, engineers and in-house teams is in [GTM agency vs GTM engineer vs in-house](/blog/gtm-agency-vs-gtm-engineer-vs-in-house-vs-fractional-leader-a-decision-framework), and the broader shortlist of agencies in [the best GTM agencies in 2026](/blog/best-gtm-agency).

## Our scoring method for ABM agencies

We started from the agencies that appear on the "best ABM agency" lists ranking on Google in October 2026, then kept the ones that clearly offer ABM as a service and serve a distinct buyer, and added agencies ranked on those lists' own strength. Each agency is scored out of 10 on six weighted criteria, using only what it publishes on its own website, read on 29 October 2026. OneGTMLab wrote this guide and is one of the agencies scored. We applied the same published rules to every agency, ourselves included. For context: of the eight "best ABM agencies" list articles ranking on Google for these searches, five rank their own company first. Two list their selection criteria, but none scores each agency against published weights or gives its cons and prices.

## The 15 best ABM agencies in 2026

### 1\. OneGTMLab: best for pre-seed to Series B B2B tech that wants signal-led ABM, LinkedIn and outbound as one system

[onegtmlab.dev](/services/account-based-marketing), captured 29 October 2026.

[Explore OneGTMLab ABM ↗](/services/account-based-marketing)

Best for

Pre-seed to Series B B2B SaaS, AI, cybersecurity and DevTools

Notable clients

Appagentix, Vorlon, Endor Labs, nRev, Chirp Labs

Headline result

Appagentix: $430K in closed revenue in six months on $70K of LinkedIn ad spend, a 6.1x return on ad spend; Vorlon: buying signals tracked across its whole target account list

Score

9.7 / 10

Time to launch

First qualified account lists built and uploaded to LinkedIn within the first week

Commitment

None; 3 months recommended

Team

Each account is run by a GTM engineer paired with an AI engineer, based in India and working US hours

**The short answer:** OneGTMLab is a [GTM engineering and AI engineering](/ai-gtm-engineering) team that runs [ABM](/services/account-based-marketing), outbound and [LinkedIn](/linkedin-personal-branding) as one system on one target list. We do not resell an ABM platform. We build the account list from signals, qualify every company by reading what it does, run LinkedIn ads and outreach to the same accounts, and measure by account. The full build is in our step-by-step guide to [LinkedIn ABM](/blog/linkedin-abm).

#### What we do differently

- **The list starts warm.** We use ClearCue to pick up the companies already engaging with the founder and the brand, then add past wins, intent and buying signals, and the exact ICP companies found through Prospeo. That gives thousands of warm companies to qualify before any ad spend.
- **Every company is read, not tagged.** AI reads each company's own description and returns a verdict with a reason, so agencies, vendors, placeholders and competitors come out of the list before upload. A large share of a typical warm list comes out this way, companies an industry filter would have kept.
- **Exclusions are a list of their own.** Competitors, customers, sales-tool vendors and wrong-country companies are uploaded as an exclusion audience and checked for overlap by LinkedIn Page.
- **Built on the LinkedIn Marketing API.** Lists are uploaded and sized through the API, so audiences refresh every time the qualification runs, and we check audience size for free before spending.
- **We build what the list needs.** Qualification, scoring and enrichment run on our own code (written with Claude Code, kept in GitHub) when a tool is missing or priced for enterprise.
- **Tool costs handled for you.** We cover the tool expenses inside the engagement and pass on partner pricing from tools like Apollo and Prospeo. If you want everything in your own accounts, we build it there.
- **No lock-in.** There is no minimum term. We suggest a quarter, because buying committees need that long to show which accounts are moving.
- **Replies land where your team works.** Every client gets a shared Slack channel, and replies from email and LinkedIn are routed into it.

#### Proof

- **Appagentix** (AI product engineering): signal-led ABM across LinkedIn and email closed **$430K in revenue in six months on $70K of ad spend**, a 6.1x return on ad spend.
- **[Vorlon](/case-studies/vorlon-security-defined-a-new-security-category-and-built-the-full-gtm-engine-to-own-it)** (agentic ecosystem security): a signal stack that tracks buying signals across the whole target account list, four deal-stage battlecards, and a founder LinkedIn programme now reaching impressions in the millions every year.
- **[Endor Labs](/case-studies/from-zero-outbound-infrastructure-to-20k-enriched-accounts-in-45-days)** (software supply chain security): an account research and scoring system so each SDR sees the top accounts worth reaching now; building it in-house saved more than $30,000 a year compared with Clay Enterprise.
- **[Chirp Labs](/case-studies/zero-infrastructure-to-a-live-signal-based-outbound-motion-in-30-days-zero-sdr-hires)** (pre-revenue SaaS): domains, inboxes, Clay enrichment, a four-tier ICP score and signal-triggered sequences, live in 30 days with no SDR hires.

Reviews and our agency profile are on [Clutch](https://clutch.co/profile/onegtmlab); for outbound-led programmes, see our [GTM agency comparison](/blog/best-gtm-agency) instead.

Best suited to: pre-seed to Series B B2B tech companies that want ABM, LinkedIn and outbound built and run on one list, without an enterprise ABM platform contract.

### 2\. TripleDart: best for B2B SaaS selling to named, high-value accounts on one flat retainer

![TripleDart homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/tripledart.jpg)

tripledart.com, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit TripleDart ↗](https://www.tripledart.com/)

Best for

B2B SaaS selling to accounts worth $30K+ a year with two-month-plus cycles and multi-stakeholder committees

Notable clients

DocketAI, Helpshift, Airbase

Headline result

DocketAI: 1:18 spend-to-pipeline in month one, 50% lower cost per lead in 45 days, 37% SQL conversion over five months; Helpshift: 16x pipeline influence, 5x ROAS

Score

9.1 / 10

Time to launch

"Engine live within 30 days"

Pricing

Paid Performance plan including ABM from $5,000 a month, flat retainer, no percentage of ad spend, no long-term lock-in; recommended media spend $8K to $15K a month, billed at cost

Team

A senior operator owns strategy and result; 80+ people (about page) or around 120 (newsroom), offices in Plano, Texas and Bengaluru

**The short answer:** TripleDart is a B2B SaaS GTM agency that runs ABM alongside paid search, paid social, content and RevOps, with its own agent platform, Slate, doing the signal watching and account-tier work. It names its ABM tools (Demandbase, Clay, ZoomInfo, 6sense) and says a lean start can run on Clay, LinkedIn and your CRM. It says it has run 100+ ABM programmes. Its own pages disagree on two facts, founding year (2020 or 2021) and headcount, so ask.

Best suited to: SaaS companies with deal sizes of $30K and up that want ABM and paid media from one team on a published flat price.

### 3\. RevvGrowth: best for B2B SaaS teams that want a published per-account price

![RevvGrowth homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/revvgrowth.jpg)

revvgrowth.com, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit RevvGrowth ↗](https://www.revvgrowth.com/)

Best for

B2B SaaS with a long, complex sales cycle and a clear ICP; 1:few programmes of 50 to 500 accounts

Notable clients

Vymo (ABM case study); testimonials from HyperVerge, LeadSquared and Docsumo

Headline result

Vymo: $21 million in marketing-sourced pipeline, 500 MQLs from LinkedIn (case study). Agency-wide: 327% average MQL increase in the first six months, $41M total pipeline influenced

Score

9.1 / 10

Time to launch

Weeks 1 to 4: target account list, scoring model, channel strategy; months 1 to 3: programmes running

Pricing

Starter 100 accounts $5,000 a month; Growth 250 accounts $8,000; Scale 500 accounts $12,000; all tiers include the full programme

Team

Senior team on every account, no junior hand-offs; founder Karthick Raajha (20+ years in B2B marketing) stays close to engagements

**The short answer:** RevvGrowth is an AI-driven SaaS marketing agency whose ABM practice runs 1:1, 1:few and 1:many programmes across LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, programmatic and email from one target account list, with intent signals from G2, Bombora and LinkedIn and an in-house automation stack it calls RevvAI Nextt. It is the only agency on this list that publishes a price per number of target accounts. One caution: the Vymo pipeline figure appears as $21M on the case study and $41.5M on two other pages, so confirm which is which.

Best suited to: SaaS marketing teams that want a clear price for a 100 to 500 account programme and a senior team running it.

### 4\. Saffron Edge: best for ABM inside a full-service retainer with a fast launch

![Saffron Edge homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/saffronedge.jpg)

saffronedge.com, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit Saffron Edge ↗](https://www.saffronedge.com/)

Best for

Founders and B2B teams that want ABM, SEO, paid media and automation from one 200-person agency

Notable clients

JOP (case study); testimonials from Martin & MacArthur, BrandStar, NestJoy

Headline result

JOP, an OKR software company: 100% growth in six months in a case study tagged LinkedIn ABM alongside other services

Score

8.5 / 10

Time to launch

Campaign launch in 48 hours to 3 days; engagements start with a 4 to 6 week sprint or pilot

Pricing

Not published for ABM; pilot or sprint before a broader commitment

Team

Dedicated growth team of 200+ people, offices in Totowa, New Jersey and New Delhi; founded 2008

**The short answer:** Saffron Edge is a full-service B2B marketing agency that started in SEO and now sells an "ABM Intelligence" service built on signals, buying triggers and account intelligence, run by what it calls Saffron OS, its own agentic execution system. Its ABM proof is thinner than its SEO proof: the numbers on its site are mostly search results, and the ABM case gives growth rather than pipeline.

Best suited to: companies that want one agency for ABM and everything around it, and that value a launch measured in days.

### 5\. Unbound IA: best for enterprise and growth-stage teams that want ABM with content syndication and SDRs

![Unbound IA homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/unboundia.jpg)

unboundia.com, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit Unbound IA ↗](https://unboundia.com/)

Best for

Marketing leaders at growth-stage to enterprise companies, 21 sectors

Notable clients

AWS (OpenSearch), Todyl, MeridianLink, Acronis

Headline result

Todyl: $240K pipeline and four closed deals in the first quarter of an account-based demand engine; MeridianLink: 99 opportunities and 29 closed-won deals

Score

8.3 / 10

Time to launch

Not published; example ABM programme length three months

Pricing

Not published

Team

250+ people in five in-house teams (brand strategy, creative studio, media, sales engine, content syndication); senior people work directly with clients; offices in San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, London, Dubai and India

**The short answer:** Unbound IA runs ABM and ABX, content syndication, SDR as a service and webinars on top of its own database of 161M+ B2B professionals and a buyer community it says has 2M+ active members, so target accounts can be reached through owned channels as well as paid. A three-month programme for a tax automation provider reached 2,300+ target accounts and surfaced 350+ showing intent.

Best suited to: larger teams that want one agency to run paid, syndication and SDR follow-up against the same account list.

### 6\. UnboundB2B: best for pay-for-performance ABM with guaranteed lead volume

![UnboundB2B homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/unboundb2b.jpg)

unboundb2b.com, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit UnboundB2B ↗](https://www.unboundb2b.com/)

Best for

Enterprise B2B and high-growth SaaS scale-ups

Notable clients

SprintRay, RingCentral, Delphix (ABM case study), North Atlantic Networks

Headline result

An unnamed SaaS client's ABM campaign: 217 MQLs, 119% more deals closed and 269% of target accounts engaged in three months; SprintRay: 11x ROAS on brand demand campaigns

Score

8.1 / 10

Time to launch

Not published; ABM case delivered results within three months

Pricing

100% pay for performance; guaranteed lead volume on its Unbound Initiate product

Team

"AI technology combined with industry experts"; offices in Seattle, San Jose, London, Dubai and Pune

**The short answer:** UnboundB2B is a pay-for-performance demand generation company that packages ABM as three products: Initiate, Promote and Activate, the last of which hands BANT-qualified leads to SDRs. It works inside the client's own tech stack and reaches accounts through content syndication, email and programmatic. The named results are strong; the ABM case itself names no client.

Best suited to: enterprise marketers who want lead volume guaranteed in the contract rather than a retainer.

### 7\. 42DM: best for AI, DeepTech and cybersecurity scale-ups on HubSpot

![42DM homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/42dm.jpg)

42dm.net, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit 42DM ↗](https://42dm.net/)

Best for

AI and DeepTech, B2B SaaS scale-ups, cybersecurity and regulated tech, data and infrastructure software

Notable clients

Payoneer, Zeeto, Lumin

Headline result

Payoneer ABM: 87 SQLs, two large accounts signed and three ICPs validated in six months; Zeeto: 64 new customers in a year and 170 demo requests at $79 cost per lead

Score

7.8 / 10

Time to launch

Not published for ABM; pilot campaigns validate a new ICP or market in 6 to 8 weeks (paid media service)

Pricing

Not published; its own agency roundup lists an average hourly rate of $50 to $99

Team

52 people; a project manager, a dedicated marketing manager and a custom team per client; HQ in New Jersey with delivery centres in Porto and Kyiv; founded 2016

**The short answer:** 42DM is a B2B tech marketing agency that runs signal-driven ABM with engagement-based scoring in HubSpot (partner since 2019), building target lists with Apollo, Clay and Bombora and running email, ads, social and sales touches from them. It names its ABM clients and results, and it builds custom CRM and API integrations.

Best suited to: technical B2B companies on HubSpot that want ABM, paid and content from one team with named case studies.

### 8\. Inverta: best for teams on Demandbase or 6sense whose ABM programme needs fixing

![Inverta homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/inverta.jpg)

inverta.com, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit Inverta ↗](https://www.inverta.com/)

Best for

Teams whose ABM programme is not delivering, or who are starting one: pilot, tune-up or scale-up

Notable clients

Procore, Sysdig, Wiley, Actian

Headline result

Procore: 75% of outbound pipeline from ABM; Sysdig: marketing-sourced contract sizes up 36%

Score

7.8 / 10

Time to launch

Most engagements start as a 90-day pilot; "campaigns in weeks"

Pricing

Not published; entry engagement is the 90-day pilot

Team

40-person remote agency; a team with 30+ years of combined ABM experience that stays through execution

**The short answer:** Inverta calls itself the original account-based marketing agency and claims more Demandbase customers than any other partner; it also works across 6sense, Clay and UserGems. The pilot includes the internal business case, tech implementation and the leadership pitch, which makes it a fit for teams that have bought a platform and need the programme to work.

Best suited to: mid-market and enterprise teams already on an ABM platform.

### 9\. Gripped: best for UK B2B SaaS at £2M to £20M ARR that wants an outsourced marketing department

![Gripped homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/gripped.jpg)

gripped.io, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit Gripped ↗](https://gripped.io/)

Best for

B2B SaaS, AI and tech from Series A to growth stage; not pre-seed or pre-product-market-fit

Notable clients

Ideagen, Epicor, Ravelin, Crownpeak, Eficode, Nexstor

Headline result

Crownpeak: £1.3m pipeline in one quarter from paid search and social; Nexstor: £2m return from a £60K paid budget

Score

7.7 / 10

Time to launch

30-day sprints; early signals in 30 to 60 days, pipeline impact in 3 to 6 months

Pricing

Retainers from £5K a month, most clients £8K to £12K, media spend separate (£5K to £10K a month); rolling contracts with three months' notice, though its FAQ also mentions 6 to 12 month commitments

Team

About 25 staff in London, founded 2017; works alongside 1 to 3 internal marketers through shared Slack and planning sessions

**The short answer:** Gripped serves only B2B SaaS, AI and tech and sells ABM inside a demand generation, paid media, SEO and GEO retainer. Its targeting is built around the buying group rather than single form-fillers, with LinkedIn sponsored content, conversation ads and lead gen forms as the main channels. None of its published results is labelled as an ABM result, so ask for one.

Best suited to: UK SaaS companies with a small internal marketing team that want one agency to run everything, including ABM for the larger deals.

### 10\. Huble: best for companies running ABM on HubSpot and Demandbase

![Huble homepage](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/huble.jpg)

huble.com, captured 29 October 2026.

[Visit Huble ↗](https://huble.com/)

Best for

Companies targeting high-value accounts in niche B2B sectors that use HubSpot, with Demandbase as the preferred ABM software

Notable clients

GCPay (ABM case study), Interprefy, British Council, Atlas Copco

Headline result

GCPay ABM, March to June 2022: 46% more closed deals than non-ABM deals, 19% more deals from target accounts, 1,760 sessions from target accounts

It publishes its tool stack (Clay, Factors.ai, RB2B, HeyReach, Smartlead, HubSpot and others) and says plainly it is not certified by or partnered with them. Pursuit is never sold on its own; it has to sit on top of its content or paid-reach programme.

## Our ABM method in one paragraph

Our method is public, because the list is the part most agencies will not show you. We collect companies that already engage with the founder and brand, add past wins and intent signals, find the exact ICP companies through Prospeo, have AI read every company's own description and label it, upload exclusions as their own audience, upload the lists through the LinkedIn Marketing API, size them for free, and target the buyer titles inside those companies. Then outreach and email go to the accounts whose engagement rises. The full walk-through with Campaign Manager screenshots is in [LinkedIn ABM: how to run it step by step](/blog/linkedin-abm), and the wider process in [the ABM workflow every team needs](/blog/the-abm-workflow-every-team-needs-in-2026).

## The six parts of a complete ABM programme

- **Account selection:** a target account list built from signals and ICP fit, not from an industry filter, with every company qualified and a written reason.
- **The data layer:** contacts and buying-committee mapping at each account (Prospeo, Apollo or [Clay](/tool-directory/data-platforms/clay)), kept fresh.
- **Paid reach:** LinkedIn ads to the list with exclusions, retargeting pools and audience sizing before spend; programmatic or display where the audience is large enough.
- **Direct touches:** LinkedIn outreach and email to the buyers at engaged accounts, referencing the problem rather than the ad.
- **Sales coordination:** a weekly hand-off of rising accounts to sales, and a customer or open-deal audience with its own message.
- **Measurement by account:** the Companies report in Campaign Manager, or an attribution layer such as ZenABM or Fibbler that ties company engagement to CRM deals.

## ABM agency pricing in 2026

Only five of the 15 agencies publish a price figure. From their own pages: RevvGrowth charges $5,000 a month for 100 target accounts, $8,000 for 250 and $12,000 for 500. TripleDart's plan that includes ABM starts at $5,000 a month as a flat retainer, with media spend billed at cost and a recommended $8K to $15K a month in media. Gripped's retainers start at £5,000 a month, with most clients at £8K to £12K plus £5K to £10K in media. New North's two-programme tier, the lowest that includes its ABM programme, is $6,000 to $11,900 a month. 42DM's own agency roundup lists an average hourly rate of $50 to $99. UnboundB2B sells pay for performance with guaranteed lead volume. OneGTMLab does not publish a price list; we quote per engagement, cover the tool costs inside it, and have no minimum commitment.

Whatever the retainer, budget for three lines: the agency fee, media spend (LinkedIn's minimum is $10 a day per campaign, but a list of 1,000 companies needs far more to reach them), and tools. The tool line can be small: a team can start on ![Prospeo logo](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/logos/prospeo.png)Prospeo's free plan, ![Gemini logo](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/logos/gemini.png)Gemini's free tier and ![Clay logo](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/logos/clay.png)Clay's free plan, and add ![ClearCue logo](/blog-assets/best-abm-agency/logos/clearcue.svg)ClearCue or an attribution tool when the programme is running.

## ABM timelines: launch first, results later

Separate launch from results. Launch is how fast the list is built and ads are live: Saffron Edge says 48 hours to 3 days, OneGTMLab about a week for the first qualified account list, TripleDart 30 days, RevvGrowth four weeks of foundation. Results take longer because buying committees move slowly: Gripped says early signals in 30 to 60 days and pipeline impact in 3 to 6 months; TripleDart says first qualified meetings by the end of the first quarter; Inverta and Huble both start with a 90-day or pilot phase. Warm lists shorten this. Accounts that already engage with your founder are second-touch audiences, which is why we start there.

## Vetting an ABM agency: six questions and five red flags

Six questions to ask on the first call:

1. **Ask to see one account list and the reason each company is on it.** If the reason is an industry tag, the list is not qualified.
2. **Ask what gets excluded and how.** Competitors, customers and vendors should be a separate uploaded list.
3. **Ask for the audience size before spend.** Campaign Manager shows it for free; an agency that cannot show it has not built the audience.
4. **Ask which named clients the ABM result belongs to.** Agency-wide averages and unnamed cases are weaker than one named client with a number.
5. **Ask who runs the account.** Several agencies here promise senior people with no junior hand-off; get the names.
6. **Ask what you own at the end.** Lists, audiences, Insight Tag, and any tooling should sit in your accounts or be handed over.

Five signs to walk away:

- The proposal starts at "upload your target account list" and never asks where the list comes from.
- Results are quoted as impressions and clicks, not accounts engaged and meetings.
- The agency only works on one platform and the proposal includes buying it.
- No exclusion list, no audience sizing, no retargeting pools set up before launch.
- Every case study is unnamed.

## Reading ABM results account by account

Lead counts make ABM look worse than it is, because most target accounts never fill in a form. Read an ABM report in four layers instead. **Reach:** how many of your target accounts saw an ad or a message at all. **Engagement:** which accounts are rising, from LinkedIn's Companies report or an attribution tool, compared with last month. **Conversations:** meetings and replies from people at target accounts, wherever they came from. **Pipeline:** opportunities and revenue from target accounts against the rest of your pipeline. If an agency's monthly report starts with impressions and click-through rate, ask for these four layers instead.

## Is ABM right for an early-stage company?

Yes, if the deal size justifies the attention and the list is warm. Most ABM advice is written for enterprise teams with a platform budget, which is why early-stage founders assume ABM is not for them. The version that works before Series B is smaller: a few hundred accounts that already engage with the founder's content or show a buying signal, qualified one by one, reached with LinkedIn ads on a modest daily budget and followed up by hand. That is the motion we run. See [ABM and signals: which accounts to chase and when](/blog/abm-and-signals-the-beginners-guide-to-knowing-which-accounts-to-chase-and-when) and our list of [25 buying signals](/blog/25-b2b-buying-signals-sales-teams-can-turn-into-pipeline).

## Frequently asked questions

### What does ABM stand for in marketing?

ABM stands for account-based marketing: choosing the specific companies you want to win and marketing to the people inside them, rather than to a broad audience.

### What is an ABM agency?

An ABM agency builds and runs account-based marketing programmes for you: the target account list, the campaigns to those accounts across LinkedIn, email and other channels, the hand-off to sales, and measurement by account.

### How does ABM work?

You build a qualified list of target accounts, reach the buyers inside them with ads and direct outreach, track which accounts engage, and have sales follow up with those accounts while marketing keeps warming the rest.

### What is paid ABM?

Paid ABM is the advertising part of account-based marketing: ads shown only to people at your target accounts, most often through LinkedIn matched audiences, alongside outreach and email.

### What is an ABM program?

An ABM programme is the ongoing set of activities aimed at a defined account list: list building and refresh, campaigns, sales coordination and reporting, usually run in 1:1, 1:few or 1:many tiers depending on account value.

### What are the key ABM metrics to track?

Track by account: target accounts reached, accounts with rising engagement, meetings and opportunities from target accounts, and pipeline and revenue from them. Impressions and clicks are supporting numbers.

### How much does an ABM agency cost?

Published retainers on this list start at $5,000 a month (TripleDart, RevvGrowth) and £5,000 a month (Gripped), with media spend and tools on top. Most agencies quote per engagement.

### What are the best ABM platforms, and do I need one?

The platforms the agencies on this list name most on their own sites are Demandbase (six agencies), 6sense (five) and RollWorks (four). You do not need one to start: a qualified list on LinkedIn Campaign Manager with a data layer such as Prospeo or Clay runs a complete programme for an early-stage company.

### What are the top ABM companies?

For agencies, the ones scored highest here are OneGTMLab, TripleDart, RevvGrowth, Saffron Edge and Unbound IA. For software, the names that come up most are Demandbase and 6sense.
